About Toby Foyeh and Orchestra Africa

American, British and Nigerian guitarist, vocalist and composer TOBY FOYEH has been playing music from an early age in Ibadan and Lagos Nigeria. In Britain he enjoyed success with songs like ORE MI and since settling in America he has released some great albums with ORCHESTRA AFRICA. With the CD “Pirates of Africa” you are taken on a new musical journey through America, Europe and Africa where traditional Yoruba music like Highlife and Afrobeat meet Pop, Rock, and Jazz with scintillating Guitar solos from Toby Foyeh.

Toby foyeh and Orchestra Africa have performed all over Amercia, Africa, Europe, Canada, Japan and the Caribbean, entrancing audiences around the world and appearing at major festivals such as Fuji Rock Festival Nigaata Japan and many international jazz festivals. The band is very visual on stage adorned in colourful costumes with African dancers.
